Passion For Natural

*Passion For Natural Aloe Vera Range

I was kindly sent these two Aloe Vera items from the Passion For Natural range to review. If you have never heard of Passion For Natural before then they have a “range of products that provide you with the active benefits of it’s natural components, delivered with elegance and satisfaction by using the finest materials that are available. Passion For Natural have aimed to create the very best and most effective, modern skincare experience.” Passion For Natural’s product range is also 100% natural made with organic aloe vera and free from any parabens which I always try to look out for.

I have not tried anything from this company before nor have I heard of them before so I was extremely excited to test these products out. I was sent the *Aloe Vera Body Scrub (£10.95) which aims to gently and effectively exfoliate your skin. The packaging is lovely, the scrub comes in a lockable clasp container which is different from what I have seen from most scrubs which are in bottles, instantly feeling high quality. What I like about this product is that it contains walnut shell to exfoliate your skin gently without being too abrasive leaving your skin looking red for. I have also found that after using this scrub it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and clean.

I was also sent the *Aloe Vera Gel (£7.69) which is a soft hydrating gel designed for an instant cooling relief to dry skin patches and irritated areas of the skin. I currently have a few little dry patches on my stomach and this gel has worked wonders for it as I tend to itch it. This is quite a thick gel so a little really does go a long way in this case and it lasts quite a long while. What I find great about this product is that it absorbs into the skin quite quickly so your not having to wait around with a wet face. The gel is multi use so you can use it on dry, irritated, sunburnt and sensitive skin.

Overall, I am really happy with the products that I have tested out, the Aloe range from Passion For Natural is great in my opinion and would definitely recommend it to others. The Aloe Vera Body Scrub contains walnut shell to gently exfoliate any dead skin and the Aloe Vera Gel is cooling but yet at the same time moisturising.

Lush Ickle Baby Bot & Silky Underwear

scarlettlush

Another Lush post, sorry guys but I am literally obsessed with Lush lately. I am either going in myself or sending my partner into work to pick up bits for me! I wanted a couple of bits for my little girl to make bath time a little more fun and exciting so I decided to get her some little bath bombs.

I actually picked Silky Underwear Dusting powder (£4.50) up by accident as I was looking for the No Drought dry shampoo and picked the wrong thing up! silly me. I realised my mistake once I got home and was looking through my goodies, though it was not a problem as I could use it for both me and Scarlett. I used this one on my little lady after bath time and have instantly fallen in love with it, her skin is so soft and smells amazing. This dusting powder contains cocoa butter and corn starch which softens your skin, also containing jasmine and vertivert fragrance making you smell absolutely amazing. I have found that after using the dusting powder on her skin it doesn’t dry it out unlike talc.

I also decided to grab a couple of the Ickle Baby Bot Bath Bomb (£1.95), this super cute robot bath bomb is packed with lavender oil to help those little ones off to a better nights sleep. Scarlett loves this bath bomb as it turns the water into a silky blue bath making her skin feel amazingly soft afterwards. I would definitely recommend this product to other parents as I believe it does help my little girl have a better nights sleep.

Seascape Les Petits Body Lotion

seascape *Seascape Les Petits Body Lotion (RRP £12)

If you have not heard of Seascape before then they are a skincare company and currently do a range called ‘Les Petits’ which are dermatologically tested and gently formulated for babies and children with sensitive skin. Seascape have formulated the products so that they are mild enough for everyday use.

I was kindly sent this *Seascape ‘Les Petits’ Body Lotion to review by Aqua PRFirstly I must comment on how gorgeous the packaging is, it is a box made of heavy 300gsm matte laminated card stock with the interior layered with flowers. The box has beautiful detail of embossed flowers which really creates the feel of luxury.

The body lotion comes in a pump-able bottle which seriously makes life so much easier and less messy when babies/children are involved. I have found that this moisturiser only needs 1-2 pumps to moisturise my little girls skin so a little really does go a long way in this case. The formula is created using 100% natural essential oils of Lavender and Chamomile which soothes and calms your babies skin, Shea Butter and Olive Oil are also packed into this moisturiser to naturally moisturise your babies/child’s skin, finally Jersey Beeswax is included in to lock in moisture and protect their delicate skin.

Since Scarlett has started crawling I have noticed quite a lot of dry skin on her knees and legs, I have been using this moisturiser on her for the past couple of weeks and it has definitely made a difference, her skin is so silky smooth and smells great too. I tend to use this moisturiser mainly after bath time and bed time, I believe that as Lavender is an ingredient used in this moisturiser it tends to make her sleep a little better.

Overall, I cannot recommend this Seascape moisturiser enough to other mummies and daddies, it has made a difference to my daughters skin and it’s natural too! what more could you want.

Have you tried any of the ‘Les Petits’ range before?

January Favourites

janfav

This post is a long one so I do apologise in advance, it is a mix between my favourite skincare and makeup bits at the minute.

First up is nail polishes, I bought both ‘Autumn Spice’ and ‘Wild Violets’ of the Revlon Parfumerie range (£6.49) from Boots which you can see the review on my ‘Mini Boots Haul’ post here. I absolutely adore both of these shades and I have been constantly switching between them ever since I purchased them. Both of these nail polishes have definitely creeped on to my bedside table.

My favourite skincare products have to start off with Lush’s 9 to 5 Cleanser (£5.10) is definitely at the top of my favourites list, it feels incredibly gentle on my skin, whilst it moisturises my skin it also removes all the dirt and makeup. I have also been loving Lush Tea Tree Toner Water (£7.95) whilst I have been using this product for the past month or so I definitely have noticed a difference in my skin and less spots. My skin feels fresh and squeaky clean after using this product, I usually use it after using my Lush 9 to 5 Cleanser.

Next up on the skincare list is Lush Enchanted Eye Cream (£12.50) this is definitely my go to product at the minute, I usually store this in the fridge and use it day and night as it makes a difference when cold, it really does freshen and waken me up. Another skincare product that I cannot stop using is Clinique Liquid Soap (£16) I find that this makes my skin feel super clean, without stripping the protective oils which is a bonus.

Now onto makeup, one of my all time favourite blushers is the RMK Matte Shiny Cheeks 01 (£30) from the packaging right down to the blusher I seriously can not find any flaws with this product, it creates a subtle glow on my skin and definitely perks up my face. My other favourite go to blusher ever since October is the Essence Hello Autumn Multi Colour Powder – Autumn in the City (£3.25) the design is just beautiful. The palette is packed full of autumn leaves packed with different shades of whites and browns leaving a gorgeous subtle shimmer on your cheeks. My favourite foundation at the moment has to be Lush’s Jackie Oates (£9.50), I love how this foundation is really light on my skin and matches my skin tone perfectly.

Ever since testing out Glo & Ray products I have fallen well and truly in love with their La Amo Creamy Shimmer Lip – Mysterious 640 (£12), This is an absolutely stunning shade of red, I really do love how it compliments my skin and the lasting power.

One of my all time favourite eyeshadow palettes of this month is the Glo & Ray’s Mariposa Eyeshadow Palette – Violet Emotion 400 (£12), this palette is highly pigmented and creates a gorgeous purple and grey smokey eye look. Makeup Revolution has definitely been one of my favourite brands for the past couple of months, I absolutely love their products. So this Makeup Revolution – Redemption Hot Smoked Palette (£4) is definitely one of my favourites, I just love all the shades it is perfect for both a night and day look. Ever since winning Miss Makeup Magpie’s Instagram competition for the Too Faced A La Mode Palette (£) this has also been a favouriteI have been in love with it ever since I love both the shades and pigments. In terms of other eye products I have been grabbing the Essence Liquid Ink Matte (£2.80) a lot, I have found this to be one eyeliner that does not smudge, budge or fade all day, it literally just stays put.

What are your January favourites?

LUSH Valentines Range

lush valentines

I did a sneak peek post of the LUSH valentines range a few weeks ago that you can see here and I managed to get 6 items of the range. I was beyond excited for this range especially for the Prince Charming shower gel.

Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar (RRP £3.25)

“A magical bath filled with beautiful neroli and lavender essential oils, colourful candy stars, sparkling lustre, rainbows and dreams.”

I absolutely adore this bubble bar, it is a vibrant unicorn horn can it get any better! I was excited to have a magical unicorn horn bubble bath, the colours are just amazing which settle into a lovely light pink. I am continuously impressed with LUSH’s bubble bars, as only a small amount is needed to create a whirlwind of bubbles.

Prince Charming Shower Gel 100ml (RRP £4.75)

“With marshmallow root, Fair Trade vanilla and fresh pomegranate juice, Prince Charming will sweep you off your feet and carry you off into the sunset, leaving your skin silky soft and smelling lovely – the fragrance is made using a beautiful blend of grapefruit, sandalwood and geranium oils.”

I have been obsessed with vanilla at the minute so this shower gel was definitely on my hit list after seeing the new range. From reading the ingredients you with think it would be quite sweet but it is rather refreshing due to the pomegranate and grapefruit. This shower gel leaves you wanting to sniff your arm all day, I know it may sound strange but the scent lingers on your skin for hours.

Heart Throb Bubble Bar (RRP £3.65)

“Take your skin to a veritable paradise, with beautiful essential oils and skin softening organic shea butter – sharing the same delicate and uplifting fragrance as our African Paradise body conditioner. This smushy little bubbleroon will turn your water a bright, passionate red, perfect for a little Valentine’s tub lovin'”

I used this bubble bar the other day and I am in love, it is definitely one for Valentines day as it turns your bath a deep red. My skin felt super soft after using this bubble bar due to the organic shea butter which is definitely needed during these colder months as I have found my skin to be quite dry lately.

The Kiss Lipgloss (RRP £5.95)

A delightful, whipped up gloss made with luxurious and protective butters including Fair Trade shea and cupuaçu. This light balm is created using the same aerating technique we use for our massage bars. It will moisturise and protect the lips, giving them a subtle pink glossy sheen, with added guarana seed powder (a natural skin-plumper) to make your lips irresistible. “

I am not really a lipgloss person, but I decided to go for this over The Kiss lip scrub as I thought it was too similar to the Santa Baby lip scrub. I actually quite like this lipgloss, it is not sticky at all which is what I have found with some. Even though the formula looks baby pink which I was a little weary about it but it goes on your lips as a subtle tint. This does not have too much of a shine so it more like a lip balm which is perfect for me and even better, it smells absolutely amazing too!

Cupid Love Soap (RRP £4.25)

“This unique soap has an uplifting, fruity fragrance. Bergamot and rosewood work together to create a rich scent, whilst fresh figs, passion fruit juice and soya yoghurt nourish and soften the skin.”

This has to be my favourite of the Valentines range, I had to send my partner back to work to pick me up another bar! it just smells so good. The scent quite reminds me of watermelon, it is fresh and uplifting which lingers on your skin for hours.

The Floating Flower (RRP £3.50)

“Exquisite bath treat                                         Sensual essential oils                             Rainbow of colours”

This bath bomb creates a rainbow of colours spreading throughout your bath which shares the same scent as Flying Fox shower gel, so if you love that then you will definitely love this.

10815642_10152406504740974_647371159_n

I was kindly invited along to the RMK event at Selfridges, Manchester on Wednesday by Heather at Of Beauty And Nothingness.

I was greeted by Shel who spent a good 30-40 minutes removing my makeup and prepping my skin for the makeover, which was quite relaxing. I felt comfortable which was nice as I usually am quite nervous when meeting new people but I did not feel like that when I was there. Shel talked through all the products she was using and what they did which was really helpful if you want to use their products again and how to use them.

After my skin was prepped it was ready for the makeup, I was then greeted by Lucy who mainly used their new range ‘Power of Love’ on my face. Lucy ran through the selection of bases, foundations, eyeshadows etc asking me which I wanted to use which was great as it allowed me to interact with them as to define the outlook of my makeup. She also encouraged me to try something different to my usual makeup look, which I took on board and used a dark brown mascara and gel eyeliner. Lucy again spent a good 40-50 minutes doing my makeup and I must say I absolutely adore the outcome.

Glossybox | November

Apologies for the late Glossybox post, I know it’s December but I had the little lady to attend to as she’s poorly.

For those who do not know what Glossybox is, it is a monthly subscription costing £10 plus P&P which allows you to try out 4-6 different products (some full sized) ranging from hair to skincare. A spoiler was included in October’s Glossybox of a full sized product which was the Lollipops Eyeliner and then another spoiler followed later – Burt’s Bees Lipgloss.

10814156_10152404383815974_81787598_n 10833641_10152404383850974_1533748590_nGlossybox November 2014 (RRP £10 + £3.95 P&P)

Lollipops Make up Eye Pencil – Full Size (RRP £11.14)

” The retractable pencil provides a deep colour finish with a long-lasting result. Contains Vitamin E with anti-aging and anti-radical action.”

This product was featured as a spoiler in last month’s Glossybox, I was super excited to try this product out as I love creating the cat eye look, I feel bare without it. The product is pale pink with black leopard print all over the tube which I think is cute. What I love about this product is that it is retractable so there is no need for those pencil sharpeners! The thing that I have found with this product like many other eyeliners is that it smudges so easy! it probably does not help that my eyelids look non existent. Though I can say that that as it smudges it could be used to your advantage by creating a smokey eye look.

Burt’s Bees Lip Shine – Blush Full Size (RRP £6.99)

“100% natural, sheer colour enriched with moisturising Apricot Wax glides on lips for a sweet and super shiny finish… so your lips shine as much as your personality.”

I have not actually used Burt’s Bees products before but have always wanted to try them so this was the perfect opportunity, though I have never used lipgloss since about 13 i’m more of a lipstick woman. I’ve found that it is not sticky and definitely leaves your lips feeling moisturised! The lip shine smells quite sweet which is lovely and not sickly. I love that this product is 100% natural which is always what I support in a brand.

H20+ Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment 8 ml (Full Size RRP £27.50)

“This oil-free moisture gel delivers deep hydration while minimising the appearance of fine lines”

This product is gel like but feels quite light on your skin which is always good – definitely perfect for a morning moisture boost. It smells fresh, it advises that you apply a thin layer over your face like a mask allowing 5 minutes to absorb into your skin then massage any excess. I am definitely excited to try this product out.

MONU Skincare Soothing Hawaii Facial Oil 30 ml (Full Size RRP £26)

“A warming facial oil containing Cardamom, Sandlwood and Lavender to soften, comfort and restore healthy skin”

Even though that this is a facial oil when massaged into your skin I have found that it does not leave an oily look but absorbs nicely leaving your skin feeling lovely and soft. This product is ideal for both your morning and night routine which is great and it smells divine especially as it contains lavender.

2True Pro Sparkles Glitter Nail Polish (RRP £4)

“Intense, high colour sparkle for nails to create a stunning glitter effect, perfect for the festive season.”

I’m not really one for glitter, it just ends up everywhere! but people who do would love this.

Best Secrets Voucher £20

Also received in this months box was £20 to spend over at Best Secrets with orders over £60, though the items on the websites were not really my style but this was a lovely touch to the box.

Overall, I am a little on the side with this months box quite a few items I would definitely not use/buy again but for £10 it’s a great way to try out new products and find some new favourites!

Spoiler included in this box is that all subscribers will receive the Bellápierre Lip and Cheek stain worth £12.99 in their December box.

Clinique Haul

A couple of months ago I saw an offer in a local beauty and fragrance store (JT Loyds) that had a current offer that if you bought two skincare or beauty products from Clinique then you would be eligible for their bonus time gift which in my opinion you cannot pass on that offer. I have used Clinique’s products before and also had one of their previous bonus time gifts and I must say it’s great value for your money.

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap 200ml (RRP £8 100ml/ £16 200ml)

10805238_627626534013393_1732033401_n

This product was the first that I chose being that I have used this product before and absolutely loved it, it “cleanses without stripping protective lipids” preparing your skin ready for the next 2 stages. To apply this product you lather it up in between your hands with a small amount of warm water then massage it into your makeup free face. When I used this it made me face feel quite cool like when using mint products but I do not find this over powering. I usually leave this on my face for a few minutes and then wash away and my skin is feeling incredibly soft and refreshed ready for those next 2 stages. I have also found it to be great for my oily skin usually after using many products it suppresses the oiliness but then a while after it returns but I have not found this when using this product my skin is still fresh in the morning. Due to it being a pump i’ve found it a lot easier to not waste a lot of the product, only one pump is needed so a little bit goes a long way.

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel 30ml

I bought this product as my second skincare product to qualify for the gift and I must say that this 3 step pack has worked absolute wonders for my oily skin. Firstly I have already mentioned the ‘Liquid Face Soap’ above so now onto the ‘Clarifying Lotion’ wow the scent of this is overpowering and it does kind of burn those eyes if you apply it too close but the results are too great to not use it. I have been using it consistently and I am really impressed, some days when I miss the first step I usually just use makeup remover which you would think would remove all of it as I do it thoroughly but one sweep across my face with this lotion and you can see the that it has removed all the excess oil and any remaining makeup, horrible I know but you can really see the results on your makeup pad. After using it for around a month I can say that my face is looking a lot clearer than what it did. As for the ‘Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel’ I cannot stop touching my face after I have applied it, it is incredibly soft and has to be one of my grail moisturisers which leaves your skin feeling great throughout the night. The gel is also lightweight and does not at all leave your skin feeling greasy afterwards which I have found with some moisturizers.

Bonus Time Gift

10799805_627626500680063_574097992_n

High Impact Curling Mascara 6ml (Full Size RRP £18)

“Helps coax lashes to a long, bold, upturned look, without a pinch, pull or tug. Smudge, flake, smear-resistant formula holds for up to 24 eye-opening hours. Ophthalmologist tested. Appropriate for contact lens wearers, too.”

I have found this mascara to be great with creating those luscious curly lashes but however have found the formula to be quite wet which is not good as it is constantly sticking to my upper and lower eyelids after I have applied it which to be honest is a pain in the arse. Also then screwing the lid on it seems to ooze out of the top which results in me constantly having to wipe away the excess product from the tube.

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion 30ml (RRP £24 100ml)

“The big plus: Our new formula now helps strengthen skin’s own moisture barrier. More moisture stays in.  Skin feels soft, springy. Has a healthy-looking glow.”

I am absolutely gutted that I am almost out of this product, I have found it to be quite similar to the ‘Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel’, it leaves my skin feeling incredible. My skin instantly feels hydrated and soft eliminating any pesky dry patches.

All About The Eyes Serum – Depuffing Massage 6ml (RRP 15ml £23/ 100g £153.33)

“This instantly cooling serum refreshes and hydrates puffy eyes with dark circles on contact. Brightens eye area immediately. With caffeine, antioxidants and soothing botanicals. Oil-free, non-irritating. Ophthamologist tested.”

To be honest I have not used this often as I have been using my Benefit It’s Potent! but from what I have used it does instantly refresh and hydrate those puffy eyes, I use it when I wake up in the morning as it makes me feel more awake. As for dark circles and brightening the eye area I cannot really comment on that as of yet because I have not used it long enough.

Again this is another product that I have not used a lot of unfortunately, but the cream is lightweight and not sticky. The moisture surge definitely does bring life to my tired eyes.

October Favourites

octoberinphotos

This month I have been on a serious spending spree especially when it comes to LUSH products I just can’t help myself. So I have 6 favourites that stand out from all the purchased products this month.

LUSH Cosmetics Mask Of Magnaminty 315g (RRP £9.75) I purchased this at the start of October and have been using it religiously ever since it does wonders for my oily skin (see recent review). This product has a subtle scent of mint which reminds me of mint chocolate chip it smells so yummy and good enough to eat, it is not over powering which you would think a mint mask would affect your eyes but it does not. My skin is left feeling soft as a babies bottom and smelling absolutely amazing, not to mention looks great too! This shall definitely be a repurchased product when it’s finished.

LUSH Cosmetics Sparkly Pumpkin (RRP £3.50) I saw this product online when the halloween/christmas range came out but could not seem to find it in the Manchester store so when I tried the Bury store they had it thankfully just in the nick of time for halloween. This bubble bar is absolutely amazing, this will be reviewed shortly but what I can say is the amount of bubbles it creates is just awesome you can definitely give yourself a bubble beard.

LUSH Cosmetics Reindeer Rock (RRP £3.64 100g) I only just picked this product up yesterday but I have seen it online and it was definitely in my wish list. This super cute christmas soap with reindeer-embossed patterns is definitely what you need after a long day leaving you feeling calm and refreshed. An added bonus is it smells absolutely fantastic, the sweet smell of berries is definitely what drew me to this product. I cannot recommend this enough if you love fruity soaps.

Botanicals Foot Scrub (RRP £14.95 70g) & Foot Balm (RRP £15.95 50g) I was kindly sent this product from Botanicals (see review here) but this product has been a life saver for my tutsies, smoothing out that dead skin.. ew I know! But it has come at the right time due to my maternity leave ending and returning back to work soon so I shall need a good scrub for after those long days.

ÊTRE Belle Cosmetics Liplift Peel 15ml (RRP €12.95) I received this product in my October Glossybox and it could not have come at a better time, I am prone to chapped and dry lips unfortunately and it does not look the greatest especially when wearing lipstick. This product has been a lifesaver for my lips and they are left feeling so smooth it’s unreal.

Premae Mild Pro Dermabrasion 20ml (100ml RRP £25.00) I received this body scrub in my first Birchbox (review here) and I must say I was impressed with the results, the fact that this body scrub was vegan is what drew me in and made me want to use it instantly. The product was a lovely consistency and left my skin feeling so soft which is great for these upcoming winter months.

Have you used any of these products before?

Have you got an October favourites i’d like to read yours.

I always love products that go along way and this fits perfectly into this category as it is concentrated (does not contain water) only a pea sized amount is needed to cover your entire foot. It is advised to remove from the jar with a teaspoon or spatula and then mix the scrub with a small amount of warm water in between your hands, you then spread the scrub over your foot rubbing vigorously. Once you have finished and want to remove the scrub then add a little more water and continue rubbing it into your foot until the granules have dissolved.

Firstly, this sample comes in a cute 30ml jar it is beautifully packaged in a glass container which gives it an expensive feel to the product. The product is also scented with lemongrass and tea tree which to me reminds me of lemon curd, it smells absolutely divine leaving your feet smelling amazing. Now onto the review, I must say it has done a fantastic job of leaving my feet feeling silky smooth and ridding them of dead skin. I have been using this product for the past couple of days and have had amazing results already, I used it after a bath or shower and followed the advice that Botanicals gave when using the product which I then followed using the mint and tea tree foot balm which I think both compliment each other.

I have already reviewed this foot balm and did not have brilliant results when using it alone but when using in conjunction with the foot scrub it works absolute wonders for my feet leaving them brilliantly soft after a long day.

Overall, I am extremely happy with the results from using both the foot scrub and foot balm I have found that they both compliment each other fantastically giving you silky smooth feet. I cannot recommend these two products enough to others and what is even better they are all natural, I have also seen that they do a foot soak which I think I will also invest in along with the full sized products when they are empty.
